massage

Yesterday I was excited because I signed up for a massage. It was supposed to be a 30 minute chair massage, but didn't end up that way. I was greeted by an asian lady who looked like a roller derby girl. She had on a bright tide shirt and short shorts. I guess that's what makes her comfortable.

Turns out "crunchy" means the little bits of lactic acid built up in my muscles. Later I realized that you're supposed to tip your masseuse. I felt pretty bad and started to stress out, probably undoing the benefits of the massage. This morning I woke up with really sore shoulders.

  3. I never tipped for the two partial massages I got at work. Since the massages were paid for by work I just figured it was all taken care of. One was a shoulddf rub while I worked at my desk and the other was lying down where this guy rubbed my neck and shoulder muscles very carefully. He also had me turn my head around each way as far as I could go and said I was pretty limber. I was never sore afterwards and it was a relaxing, good circulation feeling. I get lactic acid builup in my muscles after workouts and coaches have said that the more in shape you are, the faster the natural buildup of lactic acid from exercise is removed naturally by the body.
